On 29 September 2007, Citroën will open to people its building at No. 42, Avenue des Champs-Elysées in Paris. The Marque, which has owned the building since 1927, is reclaiming the premises, which have been occupied primarily by a restaurant chain since 1984.
Citroën's return to the Champs-Elysées
As announced, Citroën is taking this opportunity to renovate its historical premises and turn them into a prestigious showcase for its current vehicles and for its historic past. Architect Manuelle Gautrand's project, selected in 2002, features a moving spiral of seven superimposed revolving platforms, on which vehicles will be displayed.
Visitors to the high-tech centre will find a full range of customer services– such as current models and sales information – together with a wide range of exhibits of cultural interest, such as vintage models, audiovisual presentations and books on the history of Citroën.
