In the center of the square stands the bronze equestrian statue of Washington. It was realised by David C.French and Edward G.Potter. Around the square, the Palais du Conseil economique et social ? was built in 1937-1938 by Auguste Perret. This building belongs to the classical style and to an original style because of its columns.

"The United States' square is surrounded by many beautiful privates hotels. Actually, most of them became diplomatics buildings. The square is decorated of several memorials dedicated to the Americans. The "Americans Volunteers died for France in 1914-1" memorial was realised by Boucher and melted into bronze by Bartholdi. This garden has been renoved for the Bicentenaire Festival according to the New-York squares."
